The RCMP and Safe Community Services will be hosting an “Emergency Preparedness” event on Thursday, May 12th at 6:30 – 8pm at City Hall Council Chambers (4949 Canada Way, Burnaby). There will be free giveaways and educational material, but most importantly will be the tips and plans for dealing with the first 72 hours of any emergency.
Hope to see everyone there!
Summer Session registration has been postponed due technical issues with the registration server. We will advise the community as soon as the system is available.
Please note that registration procedures have changed slightly this year – please refer to page 2 in the brochure. There are two ways to register for current Burnaby students via online or phone.
We also recommend that students requiring the support of an EA register before May 20th.
The Burnaby Festival of Learning, May 1-7, 2016, is a week-long celebration with 50+ free events to engage children, families, young adults and seniors alike. Capping SFU’s 50th Anniversary, the Festival will showcase performances, lectures, discussions, debates and book launches to connect the University’s strong history of research and dialogue with the City’s diversity in community programming.
Activities designed to inform, engage and spark conversations will be held at libraries, museums, galleries, parks, community centres and at the Simon Fraser University Burnaby campus. It all kicks off on Sunday, May 1, from 10 am to 3 pm with the City of Burnaby’s Rhodofest at Deer Lake Park (6450 Deer Lake Ave). It will finish up on Saturday, May 7 from 11 am – 3 pm at SFU’s Science Rendezvous on the Burnaby campus (8888 University Drive).
